STRICTLY 2011: The MashUp Yearbook - Various Artists - new mashup album


"Strictly 2011: The MashUp Yearbook" compiles the best songs of this year in all new versions.
The album starts right away with my greatest hit so far - "Just the Way you are (On the Floor)" by Bruno Mars which gained a total of more than 550,000 views on YouTube (splitted on several accounts unfortunately). Following are new renditions of John Legend's "Rolling in the Deep" - an Adele cover version -, the smash "A Night like this" by Dutch singing sensation Caro Emerald, "Berlin City Girl" by German band Culcha Candela and Taio Cruz' "Hangover". Also included are Eurovision Song Contest 2011 participant Stella Mwangi with Norwegian's entry entitled "Haba Haba" and a RnB flavored version of Chris Brown's "Yeah 3x". The most emotional moments however are right there with Lynden David Hall's "Forgive me", a bittersweet tune about the mystery of a relationship, and "One Sweet Day", in memory of the late Aaliyah and the 10th anniversary of 9/11, by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men which features a sample of "At your Best (You are Love)" by the Queen of RnB. I also dedicated the latter one to my friend André-Marcel von Lindern-Porzel who untimely passed away in March 2010.
The tracklist ends with two brandnew tracks by Lady GaGa and a special tribute to Amy Winehouse by new artists Khaleel Deal and Ursa Major.
If you're looking for a compilation of this year's burner tracks in versions that you've never heard them before, "Strictly 2011: The MashUp Yearbook" definately is the right choice ... now go and get it!
